A child led morning
When I arrived at Leilani’s house (after stalking some escaping cows down the driveway) her son Ira was so excited to show me his room, his toys and all his tricks. We spent our morning together switching between reading his favourite books, running around outside and playing or snuggling on the couch with his mum, dad and little sister. A truly child led session filled with play and joy!
Analogue photography
I've recently upgraded my analogue gear to be able to offer hybrid (film + digital) and pure analogue sessions. This was my first in home session captured purely on 35mm film and I was so excited to get my film scans back. I am so so pleased with the outcome and can’t wait to do more of these. In-home photos on film feel nostalgic, authentic and imperfectly perfect - the best way to look back at childhood.

"Moa capture our family perfectly, she came to our home which put everyone at ease and the kids and my partner felt super comfortable in their home environment which helped them to embrace the session.
Moa was great with our kids, embracing the silliness of our excited toddler and giving simple directions through play that made it super easy and fun for them.
My partner was unsure at first about being photographed but I could tell with the prompts and vision board we were given his mind was at ease and now we are both so grateful to have these precious family photos. We did a mixed media session and got back a mix of stunning film and digital photos that we can’t stop looking at, the variety of pictures and how Moa captured us feels authentic to who we are and we’re so grateful to have these for ourselves and our children.
I couldn’t reccomend Moa enough if you’re in the Coromandel area and wanting to get some photos done. The session felt natural and like we were just being shadowed in our family life so the photos really reflect us well.
The printing guide she provides is also very helpful as she can organise the whole thing, our eastern peninsula doesn’t have access to a professional printer and framers so this is an extra bonus. Thank you so much Moa!! 🤍"
