The location, the light, the day
It was all perfect!! A stunning winters afternoon, the sun was just starting to set and the sky put on a show of different colours, the ocean was glassy and the beach was almost empty. Along comes a fun, loving family booked in for a photo session, and it couldn't turn out anything but beautiful. Here are some of my favourite photos from our time together...
The kids had so much fun
As a family photographer, sometimes I feel like my job is just as much about connecting with the kids and coming up with fun games and play ideas for them to have a good time. This afternoon was SO playful and fun, I loved seeing the three kids go from a bit unsure to laughing out loud, doing silly poses, coming up with photo ideas and genuinely playing together. One of my go to prompts for kids to warm up is doing "ring-a-ring o' roses" where they spin around in a circle together and fall down to the ground, it always makes them forget about the camera and start having fun - here are some playful shots of the kids.
The sweetest response and review
Once it was time to deliver the photos, I put them together as usual in my curated online gallery and sent of the link to Danielle, and I was instantly met with the sweetest and most loving response. I asked her to write it into a review and thought I'd end todays blog by sharing her own words:
